Private App Store Apps are a great way to publish and distribute fully functional iOS and Android apps without having to subject them to Apple and Google’s strict review process. They are particularly useful for organisations that want to distribute apps internally. You can also sell apps into industries that are underrepresented in the app store, private events, or large-scale offices in need of an in-house employee solution, schools, and many other verticals. Businesses can also send out push notifications and manage the app in exactly the same way via the dashboard.

Q. How much does this cost?
A. There is a one-off publish fee of £75.00 and a monthly fee equivalent to 1 app credit. Please refer to your base plan with Eazi-Business.
Q. Do Private App Store apps require a review process?
A. As they are not hosted in the App or Play stores, private app store apps require no review process. They are installed by navigating to a download link that is sent to you via email or text message.
Q. How does the publishing process work?
A. Simply complete and submit the App Publish Request Form (ensuring you select Private App Store) and we will take care of the rest.
Q. How long does it take to publish a Private App Store App?
A. We will have your app published within 7 days.
Q. How do I install a Private App Store application?
A. In order for users to install and use private app store apps on their iOS or Android devices, they will need to go through a process of trusting the publisher of the app. Go to Settings> General> Device Management, and trust the publisher ‘Eazi-Apps Ltd’ by tapping on the item itself. Once that is done, head back to your home screen and launch your app as you would normally. You can watch the video above to see how it is done.
Q. Can I have a different Trusted Developer name?
A. Yes you can. However, you will need to enroll in the Apple Developer Enterprise Program at a cost of $99 a year. You can find out more about these accounts here. Similarly, for publishing on Android devices, you would need to create a Google Developer account which includes a one-off $25 fee. You can find out more about this here. If you are happy with Eazi-Apps as the trusted developer you do not need to incur this cost.
Q. What devices can a user download and install a Private App Store app to?
A. A user can do this for both iOS and Android. The business would have to share a link with the user or allow them to scan a QR Code allowing them to then download the app.
Q. Can the business send push notifications?
A. Absolutely! The enterprise app works in exactly the same way as an app downloaded from the app stores.
Q. Can the same app be transferred from the private app store to the public app store?
A. No. A separate app will be published to the app store with a unique bundle ID.
Q. What happens if the business wants the app goes live in the public app stores?
A. The business will have to send a push note to existing users with a link to download the new app from the App or Play Store.
